Pre Surgery Consultation with your surgeon
At this consultation your surgeon will listen to what you want to achieve and develop with you a personalised operation plan including:
Surgery Day
Your procedures will be performed under general anaesthetic in an accredited, licensed hospital. The surgery itself takes between 2 – 6 hours depending on the type of procedures you require. You will spend typically a couple of hours under close supervision in the recovery area before being discharged. In some cases you may require an overnight stay at the hospital. You will need a responsible adult to take you home and stay with you for the first night.
Post Surgery
You will have your surgeon’s mobile phone number in case you need them and the support staff will regularly be in touch to ensure everything is running smoothly. You will arrange your first post operative check up with your surgeon for review.
Why choose MINKST for your surgery?
Every patient is different but generally mummy makeover patients do not experience too much pain during their recovery. Medication will be prescribed in case you need it. The first 5 days can be the most challenging with moving around and holding your posture. It is important to have plenty of support.
During the first few weeks some swelling and bruising will be present whilst the tissue is healing. This initially feels quite firm but gradually softens over time and can take 6-12 months to see final results.
Approximately 2-3 weeks after surgery most patients can return to work. If you have a physical job you will need longer. After 8 weeks, you can slowly begin to return to your previous physical activities.
